At Continua, we’ve built an AI agent that users can invite into group conversations to make planning, coordination, and information retrieval effortless. It’s early days for this specific Continua product, but we think we’re on to something.

Try adding 903-320-4371 to group texts to kick its tires! We’ve seen extremely rapid growth over the last few months, and are looking for someone who can help us change functionality or write new features, keep systems running and healthy, and improve our software development practices.

What you’ll do:
You’ll work on building and improving the best LLM group chat experience there is. This includes:

• Feature development, from ideation to requirements-gathering, implementation, rollout and support.
• Help us improve reliability by extending our testing and best practices.
• Improving our scalability, including finding and removing bottlenecks as we stay one step ahead of our users.
• Maintaining the service in production, including on-call responsibilities.
• Owning new ideas for engaging features and working across the stack, to take them from concept to production.
• Leading technical decision making to find solutions which are both innovative and practical.

Who you are:
You’re an experienced (Senior/Staff) software engineer with broad knowledge and skills. You’re detail-oriented when it matters to make sure things get done right, but also know how to strike the balance between speed and perfection in a fast-moving startup environment.

You:

• Have up to date Python experience, but are willing to also program in other languages, notably Go.
• You know how to work independently to handle ambiguity.
• Have at least a few years of experience working in fast-moving environments.
• Have experience working with LLMs, ideally integrating with them.
• Are based in New York.
