Valence (B2B enterprise Saas) is seeking a freelance or fractional Product Designer to support us through a period of 3x growth and category-defining product expansion. This opportunity is ideal for a designer who thrives on execution, collaboration, and seeing the real-time impact of their work. You’ll work closely with our Lead PM to bring our AI coach, Nadia, to life—turning specs and concepts into enterprise-grade, intuitive designs. If it’s a great match, this role could evolve into something longer-term.

The Role
You’ll play a pivotal role in making our AI-powered coaching tools not just functional, but delightful. Your work will help enterprise users—from frontline managers to senior execs—get the most out of our platform, by designing interfaces that feel intuitive, modern, and grounded in real user needs.
This is a tactical, execution-focused role—ideal for a designer who:
- Loves refining and shipping clean UI quickly
- Thrives in collaboration with smart, fast moving PMs and engineers
- Wants to contribute to something high-impact and visible
- Working with 1 – 2 other designers and hybrid onsite in NYC in Union Square; our entire team is <65
What You’ll Do
- Translate specs, wireframes, and ideas into polished, user-centric designs in Figma
- Partner with our Lead PM, 1 – 2 other Designers to execute new features and improvements across the platform
- Build UI flows and visual assets that align with our existing system and product ethos
- Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure high-fidelity implementation
- Contribute to the evolution of our design system as we scale
Who You Are
- 3–5+ years of experience designing B2B SaaS products (startup or growth-stage experience a plus)
- Exceptional in Figma, with a strong grasp of modern UI/UX best practices
- Open minded collaborator who loves feedback and rapid experimentation
- Comfortable working across varying levels of fidelity—from fast iterations to final polish
- Able to self-manage in a contract setup, with strong follow-through and crisp communication
