We are looking for a graphic and web designer with a strong portfolio of website design and brand design work.

The Graphic and Web Designer will work closely with Kilograph’s Brand Director and producers to create work that supports the mission of the company. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with a strong graphic design and web portfolio; capable of multi-tasking, strategic and critical thinking, problem solving, reliability, and openness to direction and feedback.

All duties should be handled with the utmost professionalism, focusing on the graphic design aspects of the work while also providing a role model within the company structure. The Senior Designer must, at all times, demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and solution-based skills designed, all while driving projects forward to reach company objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Hands-on Leadership Skills in the following areas:
  • Steward of the company’s production processes
  • Dependable service to the company’s clients
  • Team-oriented innovator
  • Problem-solving approach
• Manage and track Project Elements including:
  • Conceptualize the vision of a project or campaign, harnessing original logos, graphics, website designs, social media, and other marketing collateral
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of all visual elements, from initial concepts to the final product.
  • Managing design workflows and collaborating with design staff to ensure the project meets quality standards.
  • Manage projects with changing requirements, priorities, client requests, and shifting or tight deadlines
• Manage Technical Elements including:
  • Creative thinking with artistic instincts
  • Create strong visual identities, graphics, and layouts based on the approved brand direction for specific projects
  • Present your ideas behind the design vision effectively to clients
  • Amend designs based on client’s comments while ensuring these changes are in the contracted scope of work
  • Possess versatility, conceptual/visual ability, and marketing and branding knowledge
  • Up to date with the industry’s leading software and technologies
  • Follow current trends and technologies in the design industry.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years in a creative agency or design studio
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in fine art, graphic design, or similar discipline
• Fluency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and presentation design (PowerPoint, Google Slides)
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects across various platforms and mediums
• Web/UI design experience
• Social media design experience
• Ability to work independently and lead a project from start to finish
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, highly organized, and meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to ideate and work within brand guidelines
• Motion graphics experience is a plus
• Place branding and graphic design is a plus
