Full‑Stack Developer – Hopkins PE
About Hopkins PE
Hopkins is building an AI analyst that helps private‑equity professionals see deals sooner, evaluate targets faster, and publish sharper insights. Our first vertical is PE, but our ambitions are global. Backed by tier‑one angels and geared for rapid growth, we combine capital‑markets expertise with the latest in generative‑AI tooling.
Why this role matters
You will be the first dedicated full‑stack engineer on a green‑field product. You will own everything from database schema design to front‑end performance, and from OpenAI prompt engineering to AWS deployment automation. Your work will ship directly to design‑partner funds who depend on Hopkins for daily investment workflows.
Key responsibilities
Architecture and implementation
Design and build end‑to‑end features in TypeScript across Node.js back ends and a Next.js 14 front end.
Model complex PE data domains in Postgres using Prisma ORM and domain‑driven design principles.

Build IaC scripts and CI/CD pipelines (AWS CLI, EB CLI, GitHub Actions) that support zero‑downtime releases and automated rollbacks.

Professional track record building production services in Node.js, Next.js, Postgres, and Prisma.
Hands‑on ownership of an AWS stack that includes VPCs, Elastic Beanstalk, S3, RDS, Route 53, and ACM.
Proven use of OpenAI or equivalent LLM APIs in a live product.
Solid grasp of domain‑driven design and event‑driven architectures.
Comfort reading financial or market‑intelligence data and converting it into clean domain models.

What we offer
Competitive salary plus meaningful equity.
