L2 Labs is an applied AI research lab offering R&D-as-a-service for companies without in-house AI teams. We take on the hardest, most exciting problems that have no off-the-shelf solution, and turn them into breakthrough research with real-world impact. Our current enterprise clients play a critical role in the global supply chain.

This is an owner-operator role. You’ll push your limits, work alongside PhDs from top-tier universities, and build a new kind of applied AI research lab from scratch. We’re looking for exceptional candidates that have demonstrated their ability to build and ship; you should be able to come up with a new feature or system in the morning and have a working prototype by the evening. An Olympic work ethic and end-to-end ownership of projects should come naturally to you.

As a Founding Software Engineer, your day-to-day will be:

• Designing, building, + implementing robust software systems
• Architecting solutions for complex + unsolved industry problems
• Owning significant portions of the product tech stack
• Influencing the trajectory of a company that is growing quickly
