Mura is an early-stage startup building AI billing technology for commercial field service providers. Commercial HVAC, plumbing, and electrical companies currently manage their billing out of offline PDFs, spreadsheets, email, and third-party portals. Mura streamlines the process so that companies get paid faster and can scale their businesses with lean back office teams.

In the past few months, Mura has automated over 100,000 invoices for early adopter customers – including the largest PE-backed operator in the space. The field service software market is a $170B+ opportunity, and we’re building the category-defining company.

Mura’s co-founders previously started LeafLink, a b2b cannabis marketplace that was backed by investors including Founders Fund, Lerer Hippeau, and Thrive Capital. LeafLink now processes 80% of the wholesale cannabis orders in the U.S. ($20B+). The Mura team deeply understands b2b orders, and is excited to dive into a similar problem in commercial field service.

Role Description

As Mura’s Founding Product Manager, you’ll define how product is built from the ground up. This role is equal parts customer discovery, strategic prioritization, and hands-on execution; you won’t simply be a Product Manager writing and sorting tickets, you’re actually making the Product happen.

You’ll be directly responsible for fielding and prioritizing customer requests, applying data-driven decision-making to evaluate ROI and guide product development. You’ll use exceptional communication skills to align cross-functional teams around the product vision and priorities, and quickly become an expert in how our product is used in the field – driving increased value for Mura’s customers.

  • Customer Discovery & Partnerships: Meet with customers both virtually and in person to understand their workflows, pain points, and unmet needs; translate those into actionable product opportunities.
  • Product Strategy: Work with leadership to shape the roadmap while tactically responsible for fielding and prioritizing customer product requests for existing customers as well as prospects. You’ll determine paths to scalability for each of Mura’s products, streamlining customer onboarding through clear product implementation guidelines and become an expert in our product.
  • Execution & Organization: Keep the product engine running – tickets in Linear, specs in Notion, updates in Slack.
  • Product Communication: Partner with Client Success to draft release notes, customer updates, and external communications around new product launches.
  • Cross-Functional Glue: Work hand-in-hand with engineering, customer success, and leadership to make sure we consistently deliver more than we promise.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in product management, consulting, operations, or a similar role requiring both strategy and execution.
  • Extreme organizational skills with the ability to bring clarity to complex, fast-moving situations.
  • Clear, direct communicator who can connect equally well with engineers, executives, and commercial HVAC operators.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Linear, Notion, Slack with genuine curiosity for experimenting with the latest AI/LLM products.
  • Business-minded operator: you tie product work directly to ROI and customer value.
  • Energized by startup pace: adaptable, resourceful, and ready to thrive in ambiguity.
