We’ve designed a modern platform that simplifies the loan lifecycle for borrowers and loan officers through intelligent workflows, document understanding, and conversational assistance.

With a validated product vision, live client traction, and robust functional specs, we’re ready to move fast — and we’re looking for a Founding Engineer to build the foundation with us, onsite in Austin.

Your Role
As the Founding Engineer, you’ll:

• Work directly with the founder/CEO in our Austin office.
• Translate detailed functional specifications into production-ready systems.
• Lead core system design, backend services, and frontend development (if full-stack).
• Build and orchestrate AI-powered agents and task flows for borrower and enterprise users.
• Set technical standards and lead architectural decisions.
• Help shape the early engineering culture and future hiring.

What You’ll Work On

• Secure, multi-tenant web platform (consumer + enterprise)
• Intelligent workflows driven by AI agents
• Integration with modern infrastructure and developer tooling
• Cloud-native deployment pipelines and database optimization
• Building from MVP into a scalable, enterprise-ready product

Ideal Experience

• 6+ years building scalable backend systems and APIs
• Strong experience with cloud-native architecture (Azure or GCP preferred)
• Exposure to agentic AI patterns, OpenAI tools, or LangChain-like orchestration
• Familiarity with modern computing platforms (MCP tools), serverless environments, and event-driven architectures
• Experience working in early-stage, high-ownership environments
• Bonus: Background in fintech, proptech, or document-centric workflows
