As a senior full-stack engineer at Loyalist, you will lead the development of new product features, improve and optimize our platform as we scale, and shape our engineering and company culture. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small team on the cutting edge of restaurant tech, working with some of the most exciting brands in the industry to define the future of the restaurant technology landscape.

This is a hybrid role based in Downtown NYC. In-Person required 4 days/week

What you will do

• Architect, build, test, and launch new features and products
• Build observability instrumentation and proactively look for optimizations + scaling bottlenecks
• Set engineering standards, best practices, and culture as the foundation for years of future growth
• Meet with clients to understand user workflows, pain points, and existing solutions
• Collaborate on product roadmap + design decisions with CEO + engineering team

Background

• 3-5 years full-time experience as a full-stack software engineer
• BS or higher in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• Track record of building products from 0 to 1 and making architectural and design decisions
• Interest in the hospitality, restaurant, or F&B industry

Skillset

• Proficient in Typescript + Python
• Deep familiarity with React and backend frameworks like Django, Rails, or Laravel
• Experience with SQL, data modeling, and database design
• Exceptional communication + ability to articulate technical concepts and tradeoffs
• Ownership mindset and ability to define engineering milestones and priorities
