The Opportunity
Manukora is searching for a Brand Copywriter — a strategic, high-output writer who will shape how we communicate across every touchpoint, sitting at the intersection of brand and growth.
This is a brand copywriter role — but not in the “write what’s briefed and hand it off” sense.
You’ll be the person responsible for how Manukora sounds, feels, and communicates. That means you’ll write — a lot — but you’ll also think about why we’re saying what we’re saying, who we’re saying it to, and whether our messaging is actually doing the work it needs to do.
The best brand copy drives performance — and the best performance copy builds a brand. You understand that those aren’t separate jobs — they’re the same job done well.
The opportunity for this role is to unlock the next phase of growth by:
- Broadening how we talk to new audiences. We’ve built a strong loyalist base of a certain type of consumer, but our messaging can reach further. You’ll help us communicate value in ways that resonate beyond our current core — bringing new people into the brand without diluting what makes us distinctive.
- Making our products easier to understand and harder to ignore. We’re launching new innovative products, and selling a product most people don’t fully understand yet. You’ll build the product education and storytelling systems that turn curiosity into clarity and clarity into conversion.
- Connecting brand and performance into a single, coherent system. You’ll bridge the gap between brand story and growth messaging — ensuring everything from a paid ad to a welcome email feels unmistakably like Manukora and moves the needle.
This is a high-output, individual contributor role with significant ownership and room for growth. You won’t just execute briefs — you’ll help define what should be written, why it matters, and how we test it.

What You’ll Own
Brand Voice & Messaging Strategy
- Define and evolve our brand voice — ensuring it’s distinctive, consistent, and works as hard on a product page as it does in a brand campaign.
- Shape how we communicate value to different audiences — health-conscious consumers, premium lifestyle customers, new-to-Mānuka shoppers.
- Own the connection between what we say and how we show up visually — partnering closely with creative to ensure messaging and design are aligned.
Copy Across the Funnel
- Write high-impact copy across every channel: ads, landing pages, product descriptions, email/SMS, packaging, social, and retail.
- Translate complex products into messaging that’s clear, compelling, and builds trust.
- Develop and test creative strategies for paid and organic channels — writing isn’t just about craft here, it’s about performance.
Product Education & Storytelling
- Build a scalable product education framework that improves clarity, reduces friction, and strengthens conversion across channels.
- Create a cohesive product storytelling system that brings clarity to what we do, how it works, and why it matters — especially as we launch new product lines and enter new retail environments.
Strategy & Insight
- Work cross-functionally with growth, creative, and product to ensure messaging aligns with business strategy and testing roadmaps.
- Analyse performance data and customer insights to refine messaging and inform future strategy.
- Surface gaps across the funnel and turn them into actionable messaging strategies.
Compliance
- Work within FDA/FTC compliance guardrails for both conventional food (honey) and dietary supplement (blends) products. We’ll support you here — what matters is your ability to adapt your writing within constraints.

- You surface ideas, flag gaps, and bring solutions rather than waiting for direction.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and iteration — you form hypotheses, test messaging, read the data, and adjust.

- You enjoy testing ideas, learning quickly, and improving your craft through feedback and data.
What You Bring
Required
- 4–7 years of copywriting experience, some of that in DTC, CPG and wellness.
- A portfolio that shows range across brand and performance — you can write a product page, an ad, a brand story, and an email sequence.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically about messaging, not just execute.
- Experience working with or alongside creative/design teams to ensure copy and visual identity work together.
- Experience with regulated categories (supplements, food, health).
Bonus
- Experience with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Amazon) and email/lifecycle tools (Klaviyo or similar).
- Background in building messaging frameworks, tone-of-voice guides, or product education systems.
- Exposure to US DTC and retail marketing environments.
