Boom is hiring our first Lead Recruiter to own and scale our hiring function as we continue to grow. To date, the CEO and other members of the team has managed our recruiting ‘by committee’; this isn’t scaling fast enough.
This is a hands-on, senior recruiting role for someone who loves sourcing, closing, and building relationships – not a purely administrative or coordination role. At the moment, the top most priority of this role is grow top of funnel candidate pipeline. We are looking for someone who is aggressive and relentless, willing to do cold outreach, never afraid of picking up the phone or sending the cold outreach.
You’ll be responsible for shaping how we hire, who we hire, and the candidate experience from first touch through offer acceptance. You’ll need to be comfortable operating at both the strategic level (workforce planning, hiring priorities, process design) and the tactical level (sourcing, screening, interview processes).
This role is a great fit for someone who has recruited in Austin and has an existing local network, enjoys working closely with founders, and wants real ownership and accountability in an early-stage, high-growth environment. Given the seniority and collaboration required, this role is based in Austin, TX and works closely with our leadership team.
