Nivelo’s mission is to provide safe and instantaneous money movement for everyone. Our ambition is large – disrupting a $20 trillion infrastructure built 50 years ago. Our impact is even bigger – securing the most common and most important payment for most people: their paycheck.
Nivelo is the integrated payments platform that payroll brands use to move money quickly, digitally, and securely to gaurantee every dollar is delivered on time. We work with banks, payroll providers, and financial institutions to reinvest how businesses and individuals move money.
The company is backed by investors such as FirstMark, Capital, Parameter Ventures, Barclays Bank, Anthemis that have taken countless companies to IPO (think Shopify and Airbnb). Investors also include experienced operators in the payment and risk space, including the COO of Stripe, Founder of TEnablem and senior operators at Chime, Stripe, Alloy, and JustWorks.
The Opportunity
Nivelo is at a breakout point. We’ve proven that our infrastructure is essential for the next generation of payroll providers and PEOs. Now, we are looking for our Founding Account Executive to take the reins of our sales engine.
As the first dedicated sales hire, you won’t just be executing a playbook—you’ll be writing it. You will navigate complex treasury integrations, partner with engineering to solve technical hurdles, and work directly with the founders to define our pricing and positioning in the payments ecosystem.
What You’ll Do
Own the Full Cycle: Manage the end-to-end sales process from outbound prospecting and initial discovery to technical demos and final contract negotiation.

Architect the Playbook: Define our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), refine our messaging, and build the collateral needed to scale the sales org.
Navigate Complexity: Lead high-stakes deals ($100k+ ACV) involving technical integrations, compliance requirements, and multiple stakeholders in Finance and Ops.
Strategic Partnership: Provide a tight feedback loop to the Product and Engineering teams based on prospect needs and market trends.
Build for Scale: As the first hire, you will help set the culture and standards for the future sales team, with a clear path toward leadership.
Who You Are
The Fintech Specialist: You have 5-8 years of experience, ideally starting in a high-growth environment before moving to an early-stage startup.
Technically Fluent: You are comfortable discussing API integrations and treasury workflows. You don’t need to code, but you can hold your own with a CTO or Head of Payments.

The Scrappy Strategist: You thrive in ambiguity. You don’t need a marketing department to build a deck or a VP to tell you who to call next.
Mission-Driven: You are motivated by the “Founding” aspect of this role—prioritizing long-term equity upside and the chance to build a category-defining company.
Requirements
Proven track record of closing $50k–$200k+ deals with 3-6 month cycles.
Deep understanding of the B2B payments, payroll, or banking-as-a-service landscape.
Experience as one of the first 5 sales hires at a startup is a significant plus.
Ability to travel occasionally for key client meetings and industry events.
