As the VP of Mobile App, you will lead a team of engineers, overseeing the development, maintenance, and continuous innovation of our mobile applications. You will be responsible for defining the mobile app strategy, ensuring technical excellence, and driving the adoption of best practices to create scalable, high-performance, and user-friendly applications that align with both our business needs and client expectations.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of experience in mobile app development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling mobile applications.
• Strong technical background in mobile technologies, including iOS, Android, and cross-platform frameworks. Full-stack developer skills is a plus!
• Required extensive skills in React Native and Expo.
• Additional skills in Jest, React Native Testing Library, & BrowserStack are a plus.
• Deep understanding of UX/UI best practices for mobile experiences.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and product lifecycle management.
• Strong analytical mindset with expertise in mobile analytics tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
• Demonstrated experience with blockchain technologies, including wallet integrations, blockchain data APIs, smart contract interactions, or decentralized authentication.
• Experience collaborating with blockchain teams using EVM-compatible chains (e.g., Base).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of mobile app engineers, ensuring best practices in coding, architecture, and Agile development.
• Accountable for upholding the company brand promise of resolving live mobile app-related issues within 24 hours.
• Oversee the full development lifecycle of mobile applications, from design and development to deployment and post-launch maintenance, across iOS and Android platforms.
• Act as the primary escalation point for technical challenges, troubleshooting critical issues, and ensuring timely resolutions.
• Ensure code quality and performance within the mobile app team by leading daily swarms and conducting task-based quality assurance.
• Collaborate closely with project managers to refine user stories, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with business goals before assignment to the team.
• Manage team growth, participating in recruitment, onboarding, and employee reviews of mobile app engineers.
• Lead the mobile app technical innovation by staying updated on the latest mobile trends, tools, and frameworks, and ensuring the team adopts relevant advancements.
• Collaborate with blockchain engineers to integrate on-chain features such as wallets, token balances, and reward transactions seamlessly within the BlessUP mobile ecosystem.
