Role Overview
We’re looking for a…
Product Manager II to join our Product R&D team reporting directly to the Head of Product. In this pivotal role, you’ll guide our product development process, collaborating with design, engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders. You’ll also act as a Scrum Master, ensuring efficient sprint planning, backlog management, and day-to-day team collaboration. If you have a track record of delivering product features end-to-end, excel at process optimization, and are excited to help shape an evolving product strategy, we’d love to meet you.
Key Responsibilities
- Scrum Master & Agile Leadership
* Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
* Remove blockers and help the team maintain high productivity and morale.
* Track and report on team velocity, sprint progress, and release timelines using Jira.
- Backlog & Ticket Management
* Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to create clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria.
* Maintain and prioritize the product backlog in Jira, aligning items with business objectives and product strategy.
* Conduct regular grooming sessions to keep user stories up-to-date, well-defined, and appropriately estimated.

- Cross-Functional Coordination
* Serve as a liaison between Product Design and Engineering to clarify requirements, iterate on designs, and ensure alignment on user needs.
* Partner with growth, membership, and marketing teams to gather requirements, insights, and feedback.
* Own communication channels for product updates, milestones, and roadblocks.
- User Research & Feedback
* Assist in planning and conducting user interviews, surveys, and usability tests to validate product assumptions.
* Synthesize qualitative/quantitative data into actionable insights for feature prioritization.
* Monitor user feedback and sentiment to identify new opportunities or areas for improvement.
- Process Improvement & Optimization
* Identify opportunities to streamline product development workflows, including Agile/Scrum practices and cross-team collaboration.
* Advocate for a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring retrospectives drive tangible changes.
- Roadmap Ownership & Execution
* Support the Head of Product in managing the product roadmap, ensuring features align with overall company goals and strategic priorities.
* Take ownership of smaller- to mid-sized product initiatives from conception to launch, measuring and reporting outcomes.
* Contribute to long-term product planning, including feature scoping, release forecasting, and success metrics.
Qualifications
- 2–5+ years of experience in product management, project management, or related roles (preferably within a tech or startup environment).
- Demonstrable proficiency with Agile/Scrum methodologies, including backlog management and Agile ceremonies.
- Hands-on experience using Jira (or similar tools) to create and manage user stories, epics, and product backlogs.
- Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams, driving alignment, and delivering product increments on schedule.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills—able to interface with both technical and non-technical partners effectively.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, focusing on impact and attention to detail.
Bonus Points
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory considerations in healthcare (HIPAA, FERPA, etc.).
- Prior experience working in an early-stage startup environment, wearing multiple hats and thriving with ambiguity.
- Basic knowledge of UX/UI best practices or design principles.
- Experience tracking product metrics (e.g., analytics tools, A/B testing) and defining success criteria.
