Your Role

We’re looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

• Making payments. You’ll be in charge of processing vendor bills for the U.S., making timely payments to vendors, and approving all employee reimbursements.
• Assist with monthly closes. By preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations, you’ll help us ensure we’re in a good place every month.

This role requires 2-3 days in the office per week. We’re currently considering candidates who live within a commuting distance of our offices in Lincoln or Omaha, Nebraska.

Must-Haves

• GAAP knowledge. Through your education and experience, you’ve developed knowledge of U.S.-based generally accepted accounting principles.
• Self-motivated. You enjoy working independently, but you can still collaborate within a team.
• Technical experience. You’re proficient in Excel, and you’re always looking to get even better by continuously researching Excel functions.
• Time management. You find it easy to meet deadlines because of your meticulous organizational skills.
• Accounting degree. Through your coursework, you’ve compiled an excellent understanding of the ins and outs of a business—especially how a company’s financials are put together.

Nice-to-Haves

• Proficiency with accounting and CRM systems. We use NetSuite, Tipalti and Navan.
• Working toward a CPA. You’re motivated to complete your CPA in the near future.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is displayed below—starting salaries will typically fall near the middle of this range.
