We seek a highly experienced Creative Director with a strong, proven background in graphic design to lead IZEA’s brand team. Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Marketing, the Creative Director will focus on brand-building marketing initiatives that strengthen IZEA’s position as a leader in the influencer marketing industry.

We are looking for someone who excels as a player and a coach. You will manage a team of in-house designers while also designing assets alongside your team. The ideal candidate must have a strong portfolio showcasing their skills in graphic design in both digital and print. The Creative Director will also work closely with other departments to ensure that all branding efforts meet IZEA’s high standards and align with our core values and mission.

Your mission at IZEA

  • Manage a team of designers to ensure high-quality, consistent, and effective creative output.
  • Create and implement creative concepts that distinguish the brand from its competitors.
  • Develop and execute strategic branding campaigns that align with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
  • Manage the overall brand strategy and guidelines, ensuring consistency across all marketing and communication channels.
  • Oversee the development of all branding materials, including website design, social media graphics, videos, emails, print collateral, out-of-home advertising, tradeshow activations, paid media and all other marketing materials.
  • Collaborate with IZEA’s Sales, Client Services and Product teams to maintain alignment across all of IZEA’s communications.
  • Prepare and present design concepts to stakeholders and incorporate feedback to refine the final product.
  • Manage multiple projects and prioritize workload to ensure that all materials are completed on time, within budget, and to a high-quality standard.
  • Continuously improve the design process by identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices, and incorporate them into the company’s branding efforts.

What you will bring to IZEA

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in branding, with at least 3 years of experience in a management role.
  • Creative and innovative thinking, with a passion for branding and design.
  • Experience managing a team of designers, including the ability to provide constructive feedback and mentorship.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing various design work, including digital illustration and typography.
  • Expertise in using Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, InDesign, and Figma
  • Experience in WordPress website development and management.
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS and web design
  • Familiarity with Keynote and Google Slides.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, including layout, color theory, and typography.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience developing and executing successful branding campaigns that drive results.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with HubSpot is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Experience in and a passion for influencer marketing is a plus.
  • Curiosity and familiarity with the use of generative A.I. to be used in the creative process.
