The Role

We’re looking for an experienced YouTube Channel Manager with direct experience working on political, geopolitical, or current-affairs YouTube channels to take full ownership of the day-to-day operation and growth of a rapidly scaling geopolitical news channel.

Previous experience working on a political/news YouTube channel is a must for this role.

The channel has grown from 0 to 350K+ subscribers in 12 months, publishes daily, and generates millions of monthly views.

You’ll own the channel from both an editorial and operational perspective, identifying important stories, understanding what will resonate with the audience, overseeing packaging and production, and ensuring every video meets a high standard before publication.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands the speed of the news cycle and knows how to turn breaking political and geopolitical stories into compelling YouTube content.

What You’ll Do

● Own the daily operation and growth of a high-volume political/geopolitical YouTube channel.

● Monitor breaking news, politics, geopolitics, and current events and identify stories with strong YouTube potential.

● Apply strong editorial judgment to determine which stories deserve coverage and how they should be positioned.

● Oversee titles, thumbnails, hooks, packaging, and publishing strategy to maximize CTR, retention, watch time, and reach.

● Manage the daily production pipeline across long-form videos, live content, clips, Shorts, and uploads.

● Serve as the final quality-control checkpoint before publication, reviewing content for accuracy, timing, captions, visuals, audio, thumbnails, and overall presentation.

● Manage and coordinate a remote team of producers, editors, and other content team members across multiple time zones.

● Monitor YouTube analytics and use performance data to continuously improve content strategy and channel growth.

● Build and enforce production standards, workflows, checklists, and processes to maintain speed and quality at scale.

● Report on channel performance, content results, operational issues, and growth opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

● Must have previous professional experience working on or managing a political, geopolitical, current-affairs, or news-focused YouTube channel.

● 2+ years of experience in YouTube channel management, digital news, video production, or a closely related role.

● Strong understanding of politics, geopolitics, breaking news, and the 24/7 news cycle.

● Excellent editorial judgment and the ability to quickly identify which stories, angles, and narratives will perform on YouTube.

● Deep understanding of YouTube growth, including CTR, audience retention, watch time, titles, thumbnails, hooks, packaging, and recommendation behavior.

● Proven ability to use YouTube Analytics and performance data to make content decisions.

● Experience managing high-volume or daily content production.

● Experience leading remote producers and editors across multiple time zones.

● Exceptional attention to detail and strong quality-control standards.

● Excellent written and spoken English.

● Ability to operate calmly and make fast decisions under breaking-news deadlines.

● Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable taking full ownership without requiring constant direction.
