Video Editor – Remote job in Canada

Jam Studio is looking for a talented video editor to join our production team and help create engaging content for our story-driven gaming YouTube channel

As a video editor you’ll be:

• Working closely with the writing team to turn scripts into action-packed videos
• Taking existing environmental assets, character animations, SFX, and voice-over recording and turning them into highly polished videos with a focus on storytelling.
• Working with the leadership team to improve videos with a focus on viewer retention

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Adobe products, specifically Premiere Pro & After Effects.
• Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
• Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity.
• Ability to create/use 3D environments using 2D assets
• Creative mind and strong storytelling skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to take and deliver constructive feedback.
• Comfortable meeting deadlines.
• A Passion for YouTube, gaming, and internet culture.
