We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong background in bare metal Kubernetes, Helm Charts, Ansible and Gitlab CI/CD. We are building most of our new services in C/C++ and some in Go.

We are looking for the ability to deploy production-level services in different data centers, keep the finger on the pulse of the entire cluster and have a complete understanding of what is happening with user requests, from a mouse click to the data in the backup copy.Our Engineers have wide responsibilities over the whole development lifecycle so knowledge of tools such as Git, Docker, K8S, Bash, Apt, Yum, and even Regular Expressions and SQL will become handy.

We are looking for engineers who can solve problems together, think about big problems such as scalability and availability and sometimes go against the current to also challenge the common decision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize, plan and check the performance of a team of DevOps engineers;
  • Maintenance, development and optimizing of the current infrastructure, CI/CD processes;

  • Participation in the analysis and elimination of incidents, troubleshooting issues;

Essential Skills & Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of commercial experience working with Kubernetes, Git, and Ansible as a DevOps engineer;
  • Knowledge and writing Helm Charts;
  • Expertise in Linux, networking and virtualization;
  • Expertise in Grafana, Prometheus, AlertManager;
  • Experience with Linux software packaging (DEB, RPM, Docker);
  • Experience with scripting (bash);
  • Experience with web security;
  • Experience with SQL;
  • Working experience with Golang is a big plus;

· Technical expertise: A Cyber Security Instructor should have a strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, technologies, and best practices, as well as the ability to apply this knowledge in real-world situations.

· Instructional design and delivery skills: A Cyber Security Instructor should be able to design and deliver engaging and effective training programs that meet the needs of their students. This may include creating course materials, developing hands-on exercises and activities, and using a variety of teaching techniques to ensure that students learn effectively.

· Communication and interpersonal skills: A Cyber Security Instructor should be able to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences, including students with varying levels of knowledge and experience. ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Full-time Seasonal Instructor, you’ll scale your impact as a cybersecurity professional by training the next generation in the talent pipeline. You’ll create dynamic learning experiences through deployment of instructional best practices that are student-centered and designed to meet the needs of adult learners. You’ll facilitate lessons from the curriculum and will serve as subject matter expert to students and staff. You will support students through exercises designed to build knowledge and skills and promote grit, problem-solving and a collaborative learning community. Ultimately, you will prepare students for the next chapter in their lives as they seek employment in the cybersecurity field.

This role reports to a Manager of Instructional Teams and is supported by a collaborative and dedicated support staff to ensure an exceptional experience for each student in the cohort.

Classes are delivered synchronously and are 100% online.

This seasonal assignment runs November 6, 2023 through February 21, 2024.

The assignment could be extended by mutual agreement based on the number of expected cohorts after February 21, 2024.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Instructors are stewards, role models and brand ambassadors.   • Teach select lessons in accordance with learning objectives and fidelity to session plans provided by Fullstack
  • Employ strategies known to meet the needs of adult learners
  • Help students connect content to the real world by sharing industry insights and professional experience
  • Manage timely communication with students to align on progress, expectations, celebrate milestones and address concern areas.
  • Provide individualized student support during synchronous class sessions and outside class synchronously during office hours and asynchronously through timely communication
  • Leverage instructional resources to meet needs of the students with varying backgrounds and experience
  • Adhere to all Fullstack policies instructional team expectations. Evaluate student performance and progression toward competencies based on course deliverables and course rubrics
  • Provide constructive and timely feedback to students in the cohort
  • Maintain accurate and current records and documentation related to student progress
  • Escalate concerns in a timely manner to the Lead Instructor
  • Assist in management of Performance Action Plans for individual students who need additional support
  • Exhibit professionalism, an ethical and empathetic approach and act as an ambassador for our brand whenever engaging with Fullstack staff, students, industry and the public
  • Encourage teamwork and seek feedback for continuous improvement

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum one or more of the following
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
    • OR Bachelor’s Degree in any field with transcript evidence of successful completion of 12 credit hours of computer science, mathematics or science AND minimum one year of professional experience as a cybersecurity professional
    • OR Bachelor’s Degree in any field AND minimum three years of professional experience as a cybersecurity professional
    • OR a minimum of five years of professional experience as a web developer/software engineer
  • A passion for the cybersecurity industry, and to impact lives and business outcomes
  • A passion for teaching and an ability to explain complex technical concepts
  • A history of choosing a path of integrity
  • The ability to joyfully commit to a rigorous course schedule

Full-time Seasonal Instructors are exempt employees and as salaried employees can expect to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.

The expected compensation for this role for candidates is $85,000-$95,000 per year, plus benefits, for candidates who fulfill the qualifications for the role.

You will be responsible for supporting and promoting application security within the company and related third parties. You will ideally possess a deep understanding of security risks in the domain of online game development and related platforms. As part of this role, you will be responsible for hands-on security assessments, working alongside development teams, and ensuring our products’ security is top-notch.

Reporting to the Director of Cyber Security, you will work closely with development teams, platform teams, and outsourced partners to establish and maintain services required.

What you’ll be doing:

Collaboration with Development Teams:

  • Act as a security champion within our development teams, helping them understand and integrate security measures throughout the software development lifecycle. Ensure all applications and platforms adhere to the OWASP Application Security Verification Standard (ASVS) guidelines and any other relevant security benchmarks.

Ad-hoc Security Checks:

  • Regularly perform ad-hoc checks to identify vulnerabilities within our platforms.

Penetration Testing:

  • Plan, execute, and report on penetration testing efforts for online games, platforms, and websites. Ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our online assets.

Secure Code Review:

  • Conduct thorough code reviews, identifying vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.

Security & Hardening Testing:

  • Execute security tests and hardening measures, analysing results, and implementing improvements where needed.

Risk Analysis and Recommendations:

  • Document and communicate risks to relevant stakeholders, suggesting and implementing recommended countermeasures.
  • Development of Security Test Plans: Understand subject systems and platforms deeply to develop comprehensive security test plans.
  • Participation in Technical Exchange Meetings: Actively contribute to and participate in internal and external technical exchanges, bringing a security perspective to the table.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field.
  • Substantial experience within application security.
  • Proficiency in secure coding practices, penetration testing tools (e.g., Metasploit, Burp Suite), secure code reviewing tools (SCA, SAST) and understanding of web application/ services security challenges.
  • Deep knowledge of common vulnerabilities and their mitigations (OWASP Top 10, etc.).
  • Good knowledge of OWASP Application Security Verification Standard (ASVS) guidelines.

As our next Cyber Security Engineer you will focus on identifying, analysing, and resolving vulnerabilities found by automated processes and services, complemented by comprehensive penetration testing to evaluate the resilience of our products and infrastructures. You will act as a bridge between our security department and various business units, ensuring that our products remain resilient against threats.

What you’ll be doing:

Discovery & Analysis:

  • Utilize tools, platforms, and services like DAST, SAST, penetration testing, and infrastructure scanning to discover potential vulnerabilities.
  • Analyse the risk and impact of discovered vulnerabilities to the organization and its products. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure vulnerabilities identified during penetration tests are promptly addressed.
  • Track and prioritize vulnerability findings based on potential impact and exploitability.

Bug Bounty Program:

  • Work in tandem with the bug bounty service provider to authenticate and prioritize reported vulnerabilities. Facilitate seamless communication between external researchers and internal teams, ensuring swift mitigation measures.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with development teams to address vulnerabilities at the code level and ensure secure development practices.
  • Engage with IT to address infrastructure-related vulnerabilities. Collaborate with business units to address vulnerabilities in their assets.Communicate vulnerability findings, risks, and recommended mitigation/ remediation steps to non-technical stakeholders in an understandable manner.

Support:

  • Aid in the mitigation process for vulnerabilities pinpointed via tools, platforms, and bug bounty programs. Compile findings, generate detailed vulnerability trend reports, and put forth actionable security enhancement recommendations. Propose patches, updates, or alternatives to remediate vulnerabilities.Formulate documentation and preventive guidelines.

 

What we’re looking for:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Recognized certifications such as CEH, CISSP, OSCP, or relevant SANS certifications.
  • Extensive experience in cybersecurity, with strong expertise in vulnerability management, penetration testing, or comparable roles.
  • Deep understanding of DAST, SAST, penetration testing tools, and methodologies.
