Web Designer (UI/UX)

🏢 Splash Creative 📍 Remote Jobs in the United States 📅 Posted Sep 24, 2026

Job Overview & Description

Splash Creative is looking for a fast, highly organized Web Designer to join our creative team.

We’re a busy creative agency designing websites, landing pages, and digital experiences for brands across a wide range of industries. We’re looking for someone with strong web design instincts who can move quickly, think independently, and keep projects moving without needing to be chased.

This role is ideal for a designer who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment and understands that great creative work and great communication go hand in hand.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing full websites from sitemap and wireframes through final polished layouts
  • Landing pages for campaigns, launches, and promotions
  • Responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile
  • Ecommerce page design, including product, collection, and cart pages
  • Figma prototypes, components, and design systems
  • Refreshing and redesigning existing sites
  • Adapting brand identities into web experiences
  • Preparing clean, organized files for developer handoff
  • Supporting digital work such as email design and web graphics when needed

How We Work

We move fast.

That doesn’t mean rushing through work. It means working smart, understanding the assignment, asking questions early, and getting to strong creative efficiently.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Can take a site outline or brief and run with it
  • Has a strong eye for typography, layout, hierarchy, and brand consistency
  • Understands how people move through a website and designs with conversion in mind
  • Designs with development in mind and knows what is realistic to build
  • Can turn around projects quickly when needed
  • Knows when something is ready to show instead of endlessly polishing
  • Can manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Flags questions or problems immediately instead of waiting
  • Takes feedback well and implements it quickly
  • Communicates proactively throughout the day

Communication is a major part of this role.

We don’t want to chase designers for updates. If you’re working on something, we should know where it stands. If you’re blocked, tell us. If something is going to take longer than expected, tell us. If you finish early, tell us.

We use Slack constantly and expect quick, clear communication during working hours.

Tools

You should be very comfortable working on a Mac and using:

  • Figma (auto layout, components, variants, and prototyping)
  • Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Slack
  • Notion
  • Dropbox

Familiarity with Shopify, Webflow, or WordPress is a plus, as is a working understanding of how designs translate into code.

What We’re Looking For

A strong web portfolio comes first. Please show live sites or full page designs, not just hero sections.

Beyond that, we’re looking for someone who is:

  • Fast. You know how to get from brief to strong creative without wasting time.
  • Reliable. If you say something will be ready, it’s ready.
  • Responsive. Slack messages don’t disappear into a black hole.
  • Independent. You don’t need someone checking in every hour to keep you moving.
  • Organized. Files, components, versions, and feedback don’t get lost.
  • Resourceful. You try to solve problems instead of immediately handing them back.
  • Collaborative. You’re comfortable working with creative directors, project managers, developers, and clients.
  • Detail-obsessed. You care about spacing, responsiveness, and what polished web design looks like.

The Biggest Thing

We’re not looking for someone we have to manage every minute. We’re looking for a designer we can trust with a website, stay connected with throughout the process, and know that the work is moving.

If you’re a talented web designer who works quickly, communicates constantly, and likes the pace and variety of agency work, we’d love to see your portfolio.

To apply, please send:

  • Your portfolio (links to live sites are a plus)
  • Your resume or LinkedIn
  • Your email address
  • Your availability
  • Your location/time zone
  • Whether you’re looking for full-time, part-time, or freelance work
  • Your hourly rate or salary expectations
  • A few sentences about the types of web projects you’re strongest at
