Vice President of Global Marketing
The Vice President of Global Marketing is responsible for leading the company’s global marketing strategy, brand development, market positioning, demand generation, customer engagement, and marketing operations across international markets. This role drives consistent brand visibility, strengthens market presence, supports business growth, and builds scalable marketing capabilities across regions and business units.
Core Responsibilities
Develop and execute the global marketing strategy aligned with corporate objectives and long-term growth plans.
Lead global marketing functions including brand marketing, product marketing, content, communications, digital marketing, demand generation, events, and marketing operations.
Develop global brand positioning, messaging, value propositions, and communication standards.
Establish consistent marketing strategies and operating practices across regions while adapting programs to local market requirements.
Lead market research, customer insights, competitive analysis, and market intelligence initiatives.
Develop integrated marketing campaigns across digital, content, events, partnerships, and other relevant channels.
Partner with Sales and Business Development teams to strengthen lead generation, pipeline development, customer engagement, and revenue-supporting activities.
Develop product marketing strategies that clearly communicate product capabilities, customer value, market differentiation, and business benefits.
Oversee content strategy and the development of marketing materials, digital assets, presentations, case studies, and other customer-facing resources.
Strengthen digital marketing capabilities across websites, search, social media, email, marketing platforms, analytics, and automation.
Establish marketing planning, budgeting, resource allocation, campaign governance, and performance-management processes.
Develop marketing analytics and executive dashboards to measure campaign performance, market engagement, pipeline contribution, customer acquisition, and return on marketing investment.
Leverage customer and market data to improve audience segmentation, campaign effectiveness, personalization, and marketing decision-making.
Lead strategic events, industry programs, partnerships, and corporate communications that strengthen market visibility and customer relationships.
Collaborate with Product, Sales, Customer Success, Operations, Finance, and regional leadership to ensure consistent market execution.
Drive marketing process standardization, automation, technology adoption, and operational efficiency across global teams.
Evaluate emerging marketing technologies, AI-enabled tools, analytics platforms, and digital workflows to improve productivity and customer engagement.
Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, partners, industry organizations, media, and other relevant stakeholders.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global marketing organization with strong capabilities in strategy, execution, analytics, and regional collaboration.
Report marketing performance, market trends, strategic initiatives, investment priorities, and growth opportunities to the CEO, COO, and executive leadership team.
Typical Profile
15–20 years of progressive experience in global marketing, brand management, product marketing, digital marketing, demand generation, communications, or related functions, including significant experience in senior leadership roles.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Management, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced qualification preferred.
Proven experience leading global marketing organizations across multiple markets, regions, or business units.
Strong knowledge of brand strategy, market positioning, customer insights, product marketing, demand generation, digital marketing, content strategy, and marketing operations.
Demonstrated record of developing integrated marketing strategies and improving market visibility, customer engagement, and business performance.
Experience building scalable marketing operating models, campaign frameworks, performance-management systems, and regional marketing capabilities.
Strong understanding of CRM, marketing automation, analytics, content platforms, digital marketing tools, and customer-data systems.
Experience using market research, customer insights, competitive intelligence, and performance data to support strategic decisions.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Sales, Product, Customer Success, Operations, Finance, and executive leadership.
Strong analytical, communication, presentation, negotiation, strategic planning, and decision-making skills.
