UX Designer – Design Systems

In this position…

As a UX designer within Ford Credit, you will be developing, growing and maintaining a robust design system.

The Ford Motor Credit Company team helps put people behind the wheels of great Ford and Lincoln vehicles. By partnering with dealerships, we provide financing, personalized service and professional expertise to five thousand dealers and more than four million customers in over one hundred countries around the world.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do…

• Utilize the Ford Design System to build a system of reusable components for Ford Credit.
• Collaborate with design and development teams to build new components, specific to our needs.
• Design lean, iterative, and development-ready solutions that can scale for the future, but understands the technology constraints of the now.
• Think deeply about the user experience balanced with business goals to inform their designs.
• Lead the product team (Product Owner, Project Manager, Software Engineers) through the user-centered design process with collaborative workshops for discovery and ideation.
• Apply user research insights to drive product design and strategy, and help your team understand why and how to build better experiences.
• Plan and execute user research in collaboration with internal stakeholders, and shares findings broadly across the organization.

Qualifications

You’ll have…

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 4+ years of experience as a UX/Interaction/Product Designer working across a breadth of digital media.
• 2+ years of experience leading the human-centered design process with highly collaborative, multidisciplinary teams.

Even better, you may have…

• Associate level education or higher in user experience, human-computer interaction, interaction design, service design, graphic design, or digital design-related degree.
• Deep expertise with Design Systems, Interaction & Visual Design and Information Architecture.
• Demonstrable experience in UX design in all phases across a variety of projects and mediums.
• Advanced knowledge of Figma, Miro, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or other design and prototyping software.
