Sr. Product Designer, Core UX

This role is a CONTRACT position and potential CONTRACT-TO-HIRE , which is hybrid ( 1-3 days at the office) based in NYC [or] San Francisco.

We are in a period of rapid growth, launching our category-transforming product in 2024 with global leaders in hospitality, wellness, sports and fitness. We’re looking for a seasoned Senior Product Designer to help create a category-defining, world-class experience. You’ll partner directly with engineers, product managers, and the Head of Product Design to take design concepts and bring them to life, creating interfaces that are both functional and beautiful. You’ll contribute to shaping the design culture and process from the ground up and get to drive big and meaningful design challenges. For this role, we’re looking for someone to fully own the design of our hardware’s touchscreen infotainment experience.

What You’ll Do

• Run sprints or related exercises to work quickly through synthesizing concept solution iterations.
• Partner with Product Managers and Head of Product Design to deliver concepts for immediate and long-term strategies.
• Work with outside contractors to help drive vision and design for supporting components of the experience (3D, motion design, and sound).
• Build relationships and collaborate heavily with stakeholders to ensure our designs meet functional requirements (business development, engineering, and product).
• Deliver high-fidelity assets and specs ready for cross-platform development.

• Create thorough and detailed solutions for edge cases and technical constraints.

   

What You’ll Bring

• Strong portfolio of work showcasing your problem solving skills and high design polish.
• Minimum 6 years of experience as a product/UX designer with strong visual skills.
• Fluency in the emerging design trends, tools and technology.
• Strong written and verbal skills, you use inclusive language to ensure understanding.
• Collaboration skills, you easily communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
• High emotional intelligence (EQ), you’re aware of yourself and others.
• A driven self-starter who thrives in sometimes ambiguous situations.
• A bias for technology, you pride yourself on your ability to learn, adopt, and champion technologies.

Nice To Have

• Experience working with VR, AR, or 3D spatial interfaces.
