Your goal as the SEO Manager is to help guide the SEO team with a vision of organic growth, based on a consultative approach followed by implementation and reporting. You’ll be responsible for uncovering and accountable for the execution of the tactics that will move the needle for the client, and capture and nurture leads to grow their revenue—while generating more revenue for these services at Kuno.

You will act as the key stakeholder for SEO throughout the organization working cross-functionally to increase overall search rankings and traffic, manage the development of technical SEO implementations, and monitor changes in our page rankings. Additionally, in this role, you will be responsible for helping to grow this department by managing several SEO accounts and educating and assisting your SEO teammates.

Beyond just SEO, you will succeed in this role by combining great leadership experience with fantastic communication skills and a focus on strategic planning. We are hoping you will blow us away and grow quickly into a director role.

Since you will be contributing to the growth of the company, you will become an official employee-owner of the company on Day 1.

General Responsibilities

  • Coach the SEO team to help them provide premier SEO services to medium- and enterprise-sized clients
  • Provide SEO services to several medium- and enterprise-sized clients.
  • Serve as a client-facing consultant for SEO opportunities with future and existing clients, preparing assessments and other presentations
  • Provide basic training to the sales team and strategists to speak about our approach to organic growth
  • Research and analyze keyword strategies, performing ongoing keyword discovery, expansion, prioritization, and optimization using popular SEO tools, such as SEMrush, Surfer SEO, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console


Skills & Experience

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to clearly and confidently communicate strategy and recommendations
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • This is a remote position and requires the ability to work from home using online meeting software such as Zoom, GoToMeeting or WebEx
  • Experience working with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress or HubSpot is a plus but not required
  • Position is for Manager, but could be Director based on background of candidate

Education & Training

Kuno uses HubSpot sales and marketing software for most clients. Experience with HubSpot is helpful but not required. You will be given access to the HubSpot Academy online courses for ongoing training and education. During the first three months of employment, you will be asked to complete several video courses that provide certifications for a variety of topics that will help you have the most success in this position. Most courses are composed of a few hours of watching videos followed by a short exam of around 50 multiple-choice questions. The certifications need to be renewed annually.
