Your Title: Senior Principal UI/UX Designer
Your Hours: Monday – Friday 9am – 5:30pm EST
Your Location: Remote/Anywhere in the U.S. preferably EST
You Report To: Engineering Manager
Compensation: Base salary starting at $123,841 – $135,938 plus bonus!
About the Opportunity:
First Help Financial, recently voted as a “Great Place to Work” for the third year in a row is seeking a Senior Principal UI/UX Designer to join our highly skilled and innovative Engineering team. The ideal candidate is an expert in designing various innovative visual components for display of information in software applications; they should have proven experience in the following areas:
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with product owners and internal stakeholders to gather requirements and ideate, refine, and create workflows of business processes for software product pipeline
- Creating designs using wireframes, storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps to capture and convey product functionality and roadmaps
- Developing UI mockups and prototypes that effectively convey application functionality and appearance, preferably using Figma, Invision, and/or other tools
- Preparing and presenting and refining initial drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
- Collaborating with product owners to disseminate product designs and roadmaps to engineering teams to build and deliver products
- Assisting in refining product design, development, and delivery using user feedback
- Identifying and resolving UX issues and Making layout adjustments based on user feedback
- Conduct specific user-research experience including studying usage behaviors for the product, different path flows for various personas, and critical bottlenecks in existing workflows
- From a design and product perspective, identify and address any impediments or roadblocks that hinder the team’s progress, ensuring a smooth development process
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by participating in retrospectives, incorporating relevant feedback, and implementing actionable changes to enhance team performance and product quality
- Utilize your strong communication skills to ensure clear and transparent communication within the team and with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Strong exposure to UI components evident from years of experience developing alongside front-end development teams
- Strong knowledge of front-end technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field. Master’s preferred.
- 6+ years of experience as a UI/UX or in a similar role.
- A comprehensive portfolio showcasing user-centered design projects, highlighting proficiency in wireframing, prototyping, usability testing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to think critically and solve problems.
- Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to change.
