The Senior Marketing Specialist (Social Media) is responsible for overseeing the coordination and execution of the social media content strategy across major social platforms including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. This includes working with agency partners and internal stakeholders in the creation of engaging and strategic social media posts for corporate and advocate use, informed by our brand guidelines and internal and industry metrics. In addition, the Senior Marketing Specialist (Social Media) will maintain the social media editorial calendar, working closely with communications, brand, and field marketing leaders as well as with subject matter experts across the organization to ensure the calendar is full at all times and meets the goals and objectives of our overall marketing plan.


  • Plan social content and production across multiple platforms and ensure content reflects a creative approach to effective storytelling for each social platform while working closely with our creative, PR, events, field marketing, and product marketing teams. Regularly share results, key takeaways, and associated recommendations to help drive and shape content going forward.
  • Work with agency partners in planning, implementing, and monitoring the social media strategy to drive awareness, engagement, and follower growth.
  • Monitor social media conversations and track keywords to identify trends and advise on potential opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities for expanding awareness of e2open among key audiences on social media. This includes recommending, executing, and optimizing tactics to reach these target audiences.
  • Manage content creation process by ensuring project tracking systems are up to date and content is secure and backed up at all times.
  • Be a knowledgeable resource on social media marketing; a go-to resource for e2open team members to execute the content we produce and post on our social media platforms.
  • Evaluate metrics and recommend reports for audience and engagement growth monitoring and to ensure all social media strategies and tactics are tracking against goals and KPIs. Produce monthly reports for marketing leadership and demonstrate program success.
  • Leverage social listening skills to uncover relevant conversations and identify social media marketing opportunities.
  • React quickly to promote media coverage on social channels and amplify reach.
  • Support efforts to experiment and expand into new and emerging platforms.
  • Monitor, manage, and coordinate social media responses and work with leadership to determine when responses are warranted.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to optimize company pages within each social media platform to increase visibility, drive engagement, and support lead generation.
  • Maintain and shape e2open’s social media calendar to ensure all content is timely, relevant, and in alignment with e2open’s brand and messaging guidelines.
  • Manage and measure the performance of the e2open Brand Advocate program.
  • Proactively communicate with management regarding social media initiatives and activities.
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies and recommend changes when warranted.
  • Other tasks as assigned.


  • 4-7 years proven experience in progressive social media content/content management role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, communications, journalism.
  • Demonstrated strength and drive for excellence in multiple core marketing functions.
  • High level of understanding and respect for organizational goals and objectives, and the ability to transcend personal objectives for organizational success.
  • Demonstrated success with interpersonal skills, self-awareness, work ethic, positive attitude, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • Demonstrated communication skills in both verbal and written formats with individual and large groups and with ability to communicate concisely.
  • Strong achievement drive, ability to execute goals and objectives, work in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight, and an appreciation for change and change management.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel on occasion.
  • Passion for technology and a strong drive to promote technology-based solutions for the supply chain industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple social media platforms and technologies. Experience with Sprout Social and Marketo a plus.
  • Experience analyzing data collected from social media analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with social media audience and engagement growth strategies.
  • Excellent follow through capability.
  • Time and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.


  • General office environment and responsibilities requiring:
  • Extensive use of the computer which involves viewing a monitor and keyboarding for most of the workday
  • Placing and receiving phone calls
  • Occasionally moving and lifting objects up to 20 pounds
  • May require 30% travel or more if needed
