Description of the offer
About Paal15
We’re helping B2B tech companies across the globe to grow by bringing together the right combination of commercial knowledge, creative skills and active network across the tech ecosystem.
Job Description
At Paal15, we consider design a strategic function. It’s the moment where strategy comes to life, and the magic starts to happen. You will work cross-functionally with our strategy, messaging and marketing teams to optimise Paal15’s growth in key markets.
You’ll be in charge of translating business strategy into a visual reality by developing creative concepts, branding and visual frameworks up to the execution of a full spectrum of functional assets such as web design, presentations and sales and marketing materials.
Why should you care about this role?
Our clients, B2B tech organisations, go from our companies within the Paal15 group to exciting scale-ups across the globe to big tech brands (Microsoft, Adobe, Pure Storage, Accenture and more). In every case, either by helping them to define a new business model, route to market or launch a new solution, you’ll have exposure to strategic projects that will allow you to challenge what’s been written and make your mark.
About you
We understand that there are no perfect candidates. We’re interested in learning more about you, even if only a few of the following apply to you.
- You have a passion for building remarkable brands. You appreciate the art and strategy behind creating a brand that customers love and competitors envy. We offer you the freedom and responsibility to make this role your own and have a significant impact.
- You prioritise team and customer engagement. You actively interact with the design team and other teams in the organisation, always responding personally. This also entails ensuring you discover new learnings and translate them into improvements and experimentation.
- You have a knack for optimisation. You can analyse and optimise the work created by yourself and the team. You can identify areas of improvement and devise strategies to address them, either independently or with input from the rest of the team.
- You have a strong affinity for experimentation. You enjoy experimenting with various creative design methods, such as Generative AI.
Remember, this is a wish list, not an exhaustive “must-have” list.
How will we assess this?
During the interview process, you’ll meet the team. You’ll also get the chance to talk to our key stakeholders.
Here are good ways to stand out
- You’re confident with your creative thinking, ask questions, contribute to the overall creative process, and make work better through positive collaboration.
- You’re a curious person with an innovative mindset who enjoys challenging and been challenged. Someone with strong opinions and structured thinking, as you must be able to present (sell) your ideas.
- You’re a design thinker as much as a crafter. For some projects, you set the style; for others, you help safeguard predefined styles.
Responsibilities
- Oversee design projects from a creative perspective, from conception to delivery, to ensure the high bar of quality is met and improved upon.
- Review junior designers’ work to ensure quality and help them grow and improve their skills.
- Generate ideas to develop concepts and communicate the technology solutions and services of our customers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of design experience in an agency environment with the ability to pivot and shift quickly between different types of customers and assignments.
- As showcased in your portfolio, not only your Figma skills are slick, but it is your design thinking that gets them talking.
- You are genuinely interested in technology and are fascinated by the interplay between design and tech.
- You’re a great collaborator who enjoys working with clients and colleagues around the globe.
- You have experience with all stages of the design process, from conceptualising to designing layouts and quality assurance.
- You have a solid understanding of the fundamentals such as typography, grid systems, interaction design, flow, storytelling and design systems.
- You can inspire teams to improve the work conceptually, aesthetically and functionally.
- You have at least a basic understanding of web design, HTML & CSS
- Motion skills and 3D skills are a plus
Why should you care about this role?
- A results-driven approach which allows flexible working.
- Our small and focused project teams allow for true collaboration.
- You’ll have the opportunity to define the role of design within the organisation.
- As an added bonus, you might make some friends. We regularly go out for dinner and drinks and organise sporting events (as soon as the opportunity arises).
How will we measure success?
- You learn super fast.
- Social Engagement.
- Successful delivery of projects.
Sounds good? We’re offering
- A key role in a growing B2B Tech strategy and consulting firm
- A competitive benefits package
- Full-time contract
- Hybrid working with remote work flexibility
- The freedom and responsibility to make an impact.
