Redesign Survey Application

Description of the offer

Glass is a quantitative survey platform with a team of expert researchers to support your work. Our experts and clients use our platform to build and launch surveys to audiences across the globe. Those individuals take the surveys via our Survey Response application.

The survey response application as it exists is a touch behind modern standards for design, usability, and accessibility. These usability challenges lead to drop-offs in completes and lengthier interview times, which impacts our ability to source traffic for these surveys.

The work for this project is the following:

1. Assess the current state of the respondent app from the following perspectives.
   1. Visual design: what fit-and-finish improvements can be made to ensure the app is on-brand, clear, and effective?
   2. Usability: what aspects of the UI make it more difficult to use? Considering responsiveness, usability anti-patterns, bugs, information architecture, click paths, etc.
   3. Accessibility: how do we ensure the UI is built with accessibility in mind? Considering color pallet, button styles and sizing, keyboard navigation, etc.
   4. Mobile-friendliness: the majority of our respondents access the app via mobile. Ensure all question types and question features are effective across all screen types

1. Redesign the app to accommodate the discovery above, including:
   1. Overall survey navigation, styling, and UX
   2. Per-question-type improvements, particularly for more complex question types like matrix or concept testing in both mobile and non-mobile environments
2. Enable faster future design and development by updating our design system and building components that can be used for front-end UI development.

    

The design work should be done in Figma, and you’ll work closely with our front-end engineering team to ensure the Figma assets are easy to work with from an engineering perspective.

This is a project-based opportunity, but could be the first of many potential projects should we enjoy working together, with options up to a consistent 20 hours per week. We are a fully remote company operating primarily in the Central and Eastern time zones.
