Production Intern / Design Assistant

Hi there!

We are DM Design, a small design team specializing in print and digital graphics ranging from social media campaigns and product packaging to full visual identity packages for small businesses based in the United States. We are currently a remote team of three (located in Spain and the US), and are looking to add an Production Intern / Design Assistant in a part-time contractor capacity (+/- 10 hours per week as agreed).

Starting pay rate for this role is 8-10€/hour. Compensation may be negotiated based on cost of living in your location and on experience. The person selected for this role has the possibility for growth/leveling-up/additional hours if there is a good cultural and work fit.

About the Role:

Working in close collaboration with the creative director, you will be supporting the creative team by completing systematic production tasks such as: updating + exporting graphic assets for print and digital, updating brand style guides, photo-editing, producing photo-realistic mockups for presentation, designing asset templates, and documenting/updating system processes via our team wiki. Specific interest/experience in social content design, UX/UI design, and/or motion design is preferred.

Please Note: as a contractor, you will be expected to provide your own laptop as well as your own access to Adobe Creative Suite. Access to shared workspaces/platforms will be provided by us.

About You:

• You possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills (English required / Spanish a plus)
• You are comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
• You aren’t afraid to ask questions and receive feedback
• You are flexible, nimble, and able to adjust to constantly shifting needs and priorities
• You are passionate about the creative world and love to stay current on all existing, new, and emerging technologies that relate to digital marketing, mobile technologies and social media, as well as cultural trends
• You have a strong portfolio showcasing 2-3 examples of student/client work, spec work, and mockups that feature beautiful, modern design across a variety of digital and traditional channels

Qualifications:

• Recent university graduate with Bachelor’s degree in design or a related field, and/or 2+ years of relevant design experience on a multi-disciplinary design team
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and similar design tools
• Native or Full Proficiency in English language (minimum C1)

Nice to have:

• Familiarity working with website assets, social media platforms is a plus
• Familiarity with project management tool(s) such as Notion, Trello, Monday, Asana, Teamwork or other
• Familiarity with Adobe Premiere and other video editing platforms

Compensation Details:

The Production Intern / Design Assistant position will be compensated as an “independent contractor” and pay rate will be negotiated based on cost of living and experience level (Average Starting Rate: 8-10€/hour)
