Lumi. Network is seeking a Product Lead to join their global start
up in the Ed Tech and Sustainability space

Who we are
Lumi is an EdTech & Future of Work platform building AI and Entrepreneurship skills in 10–25-year-olds globally. The venture is at the forefront of facilitating this generational shift, driven by an unprecedented rate of technological advancements, which neither the education systems nor the workplace is geared up to do so.

We have developed a unique platform where young people build these skills by collaboratively solving business/global challenges through online Quests. The Quests combine online facilitated sessions with self-directed learning and culminate in a Digital Credential accredited by a Stanford University affiliated institution and by the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Lumi was founded by Prashant Raizada and his son Nikhil (now 14 years of age) and Dr Christopher Shen. Prashant is a successful Ed-Tech entrepreneur with a large historical exit – who is Ex-McKinsey – while Chris, is an Adjunct Professor at Stanford University who specialises in design-thinking led innovation.

Lumi has also gained public recognition via the Commonwealth Secretariat which showcased it at COP 27. Lumi is working with blue-chip companies and leading schools worldwide with an eventual aim to be a D2C offering. This is still an early stage company with a huge scope for the right individuals to make a significant contribution and to fast track their career whilst working with a highly experienced founding team.

Responsibilities
The product lead will have ownership of developing and iterating all of Lumi’s products based on customer feedback, competitive benchmarking and best practices in how to get 10-18 year olds to be at their most innovative in Lumi’s Quests while having fun.

The successful Product Lead will own:
1. Product design and development
– Lumi’s traditional Quest, a three stage journey with weekly live facilitated sessions
– Lumi’s gamified Quest and self-learning game. This product is at an R&D stage right now and needs considerable work for it to be launched
2. Product improvements
3. Product delivery & Customer success: The Product Lead will also be a core member of Lumi’s management team and participate in developing strategy, pursuing strategic opportunities with large partners

Essential skills/experiences
1. Proven new product development experience ideally in taking new products to market and making them commercially successful as well as delivering the desired impact
2. Understanding of AI tools and the wider landscape, particularly in relation to creating new products using design thinking
3. Ability to manage a tech team
4. Experience of working in an early stage company and growing with it
5. Tech skills and knowledge of latest technologies to use in developing Lumi’s offer
6. Collaborative problem solving

Nice to have skills/experiences
1. Working in an international environment
2. Experience of working with virtual teams
3. Ed-tech and/or gaming sector experience
4. Experience in developing products for 10-18 year olds will be a big plus

This role is 100% remote although you’ll need to be based in the UK and you will need frequent access to London for meetings.

Remuneration is subject to experience.
