Description of the offer

A major tech company is seeking a highly skilled Figma expert to evaluate and optimize our existing Figma component and assist in publishing as a library. The ideal candidate will be able to identify areas for improvement within our component build, create organized and searchable libraries for internal use, and tag components with metadata for easy access. Additionally, this role requires the ability to train our production designers on the changes made and best practices around publishing.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess our current Figma component builds to identify gaps and areas of opportunity for improvement.
• Rebuild components as necessary to ensure consistency, scalability, and ease of use.
• Organize the Figma file into searchable libraries and publish them for internal use.
• Tag components with appropriate metadata for enhanced searchability.
• Provide detailed documentation and instructions on changes made to the design system.
• Conduct training sessions with our production designers to explain the changes and guide best practices, so that they can maintain and update the library.
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure design consistency and alignment with the overall brand vision.

 

Qualifications:

• Expertise in Figma, with extensive experience building and managing component libraries, and publishing of libraries.
• Strong understanding of design systems and component-based design.
• Experience with metadata tagging and organizing libraries for scalability.
• Ability to clearly communicate design principles and rationale to non-designers.
• Strong design skills with an eye for detail and consistency.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Previous experience working with internal design teams or agencies is a plus.
