Aging Media Network is seeking an Event Marketing Specialist to help grow the attendance of individuals at our live events. This is a marketing position that is responsible for generating ticket sales across the live events portfolio.
This individual will be responsible for growing event attendees with sales calls, personal email outreach, social media, email marketing and more.
This position will be responsible for leveraging existing attendee and potential attendee relationships across our media platform and converting these into confirmed registrants. This new position will report to the Head of Events / Executive VP.
The success of this position will be determined by an increase in numbers of attendees, new ticket sales, repeat attendees and improved quality of attendees at our professional B2B events. The individual will monitor incoming attendees to ensure their correct ticket classification and ensure that qualified attendees are permitted to attend for special programs including our Membership programs and our Executive Connect program.
Responsibilities
- Deliver & manage attendee acquisition for live events
- Create emails to event audiences to past, present and prospective attendees
- Reply to phone calls for inbound requests on attendee questions
- Build, update and maintain CRM database via data entry with prospective, target and past attendee contact information
- Create email scripts, email templates and materials to support attendee acquisition
- Work with CRM to develop reports to identify high-value attendees
- Build & execute email drip campaigns to drive follow up sales with key stakeholders including management and editorial
- Identify key attendees, personas, title and demographics for each event and marketing to them
- Build, own & execute email marketing lifecycle to key segments and lists for event awareness
- Work with social media team to develop messaging and cadence to assist with event for attendee acquisition
- Develop and manage database inputs from various sources including MailChimp, Salesforce, Unbounce, Google Sheets
- Work with VP of Content to develop internal custom content campaigns to assist with attendee development
- Communicating audience development plans with other departments and team members
- Monitor/maintain ticket pacing spreadsheets to track sales
- Work on group ticket sales and management of those groups
- Relationship development with VIP and high-value attendees
- Screening & filtering for participation for key programs such as our Membership and Executive Connect program for qualified attendees
- Assistance with on-site experience at events with attendee check-in and experience delivery
Required Job Skills:

- Salesforce experience a must

Attributes and Skills Needed
- Familiarity and Comfort working with Data, Lists & Analysis and ability to manage these resources
- Experience with media or B2B events and tradeshows in financial services, healthcare, housing and other related areas.
- Deliver improvement on event marketing KPIs and metrics
- Ability and comfort with high-end personal contact; via phone, social media & in person across our platforms, openness
- Sales experience with high-end luxury or C-Suite executive clients
- Ability to work towards attendance goals and be measured for these efforts
- High energy, good listening skills
- Customer service expert with strong attention to detail and quick responsiveness to current and prospective inquiries
- Ability to work with various internal company stakeholders managing their needs and assumptions
- You have 5-7 years of event marketing experience. Experience in media and/or subscription business is a plus
- Knowledge and experience of major paid marketing channels
- Experience leading and managing the execution of strategic multi-channel b2b event marketing initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum two (2) – five (5) years in sales / relationship management / event sales
- Minimum of 2 years experience of hands-on email marketing
- Experience with paid social marketing channels
- Strong writing skills and experience
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Office / Google Suite applications, specifically in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
- Work from Home with 20% travel as needed to events
