The Documentation and UX Writer creates and manages product content for the Tackle product. Alongside the Product Content team, you will be designing with words. Your direct focus will be to support product teams by writing and editing technical product documentation and microcopy, to give users a strong learning experience in our enterprise software. You will contribute to the overall improvement of both the content and the systems that maintain it. As part of the UX team, you bring a user-centered focus to make our documentation and product language match the needs of our intended audiences. You are a strong communicator and experienced at organizing information.

 

In This Role You Will:
  • Support a consistent product content practice at Tackle. Write, edit, and maintain clear, concise content that aligns with our style and templates.
  • Contribute to and help maintain our style guide. Embrace a “plain language” approach.
  • Collaborate well with UX, Product, and Engineering teams to understand Tackle’s product goals and audiences as you work.
  • Partner with subject matter experts across the company to deeply learn the Tackle platform and inform technical topics and support microcopy needs.
  • Manage tasks across a variety of teams and deadlines with flexibility, accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist with researching user needs. Have empathy for our users.
  • Participate in reviews; give and receive feedback with curiosity and kindness.
  • Embrace a culture of respect, inclusion, collaboration, and transparency.

 

You Should Have:
  • 2+ years writing technical product documentation and microcopy for enterprise products (B2B).
  • A portfolio that demonstrates your technical documentation experience and UX writing skills. We must have samples to consider your application.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

 

You Will Stand Out:
  • Familiarity with Agile, experience with Github, Jira, and developer-centric workflow
  • Experience with content management systems that support workflow, versioning, localization, and publication
  • Skills in CSS, HTML, Javascript
  • Experience with user research and methods to track metrics

The Hiring Process:
 We have a transparent and streamlined hiring process that can typically be completed in one to two weeks:
• Phone screen
• 3 additional video chat interviews (on occasion there may be opportunities for in-person interviews)
• Some positions may require a take home test (this will be communicated to the candidate)
