About the Role
Tecsys Inc. is seeking a motivated Developer to join our performance and scalability support team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of development experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and some front-end development experience. As a Software Developer in a support role, you will be the bridge between our development team and end-users, ensuring that our applications are running smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to end-users by diagnosing and resolving issues.
- Develop and maintain front-end code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application and platform issues.
- Create and update documentation related to troubleshooting processes.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving the overall code quality.
- Assist in the testing and deployment of software updates.
- Monitor application performance and implement optimizations as needed.
- Communicate effectively with users and team members to understand issues and provide timely solutions.
- Engage with customers to gather feedback and ensure their needs are being met.
- Work closely with support teams to provide seamless assistance and improve customer satisfaction.
- Thrive in a dynamic environment and enjoy learning new technologies and skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of development experience with a strong background in troubleshooting.
- Some experience in front-end development with proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience in a technical support role.
- Proficiency in database management systems, including generic SQL knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Enthusiasm for learning and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Adept in software integration and deployment tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Enthusiasm for learning and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Strong proficiency in both written and verbal English communication essential for effective correspondence with clients, suppliers, business partners, and colleagues beyond the province of Quebec.
