Position Overview: As a Designer at Anthem, you will create high-quality graphic designs, execute custom merchandise concepts, and deliver flawless production-ready artwork. You’ll generate fresh design ideas for a diverse range of clients, ensuring artwork accuracy and contributing to the success of our client projects. Whether working independently or with our creative team, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects daily.

Location:

This full-time position operates during Mountain Standard Time office hours and offers flexibility to work remotely or from our office in downtown Boulder, Colorado.

US Only — Colorado based candidates preferred

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and design across various brand needs, including logos, apparel graphics, and custom merchandise, from concept to completion with a discerning eye for craftsmanship and attention to detail
• Adapt creatively to work within a variety of styles and brand guidelines, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to take on new challenges
• Take feedback constructively from senior teammates and collaborate closely with the creative, account, and production teams to achieve project goals
• Shape and build your knowledge, staying eager to learn and grow as a designer, and confidently apply your skills to any brief
• Stay informed on design trends, bringing unique and interesting forms of inspiration to the team
• Understand and translate client needs into compelling and on-brand creative designs that align with client expectations
• Review client-supplied files for production suitability, including color count and Pantone matching, ensuring all artwork is accurate and production-ready
• Create realistic and accurate product mockups and prepare final production-ready artwork files based on project specifications (apparel, merchandise, print, environmental)
• Retouch images, create clipping paths/image masks, and compose image composites/mockups to enhance project visuals
• Execute art direction to produce concepts, comps, layouts, and final art for product-focused projects, demonstrating ownership and professionalism throughout
• Package and preflight files for production partner release, and resolve any artwork issues that arise during production
• Review and approve proofs/samples to ensure accuracy against mockups and production artwork
• Maintain clear communication with account teams, demonstrating ownership of assigned projects, and managing timelines to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Catalog and reference art for future projects, ensuring all files are organized and easily accessible

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field
• 4+ years of professional experience in the design industry
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat) and Mac OS X
• Familiar with G Suite, Slack, Monday.com
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Positive attitude, ability to take direction, and proactive problem-solving skills
• Awareness of design trends and styles
• Availability beyond normal business hours and ability to work independently

Salary and Benefits:

The starting salary range for this position is $55k-70k (DOE), plus benefits. Benefits include unlimited Flexible Time Off, optional medical and dental insurance plan, fifteen (15) company holidays per year and a 401(K) program after one year of service. Anthem Branding employees qualify for base benefits effective the 1st of the month after 60 days of employment.
