At oVice, we are building a virtual work platform, helping to bridge the gap between the real and digital world. We redefine online communication to be as immersive and natural as possible. Our virtual spaces are designed to match real physical places to provide a more natural way of online communication, helping people connect, build, and deepen relationships.

oVice has been expanding and growing month over month since our launch in August 2020. Although based in Japan, our team is global and we work fully remote. We’re looking for talented people who are keen on using new technology to elevate how people interact online.

Job Description

You will be in charge of distilling the essence of oVice’s personality into all visual communications across multi countries, time-zones, and continents.

This role requires confidence and depth of experience working across a variety of mediums (Banners, Landing Pages, Illustrations, Ads, Presentations, Print Layouts, etc.) and an appetite for experimentation.

We are looking to become the global standard of remote tooling, and making sure the service’s visual communications is imperative for success..

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet business objectives and brand guidelines. Work fluidly across digital and print mediums.
• Design and deliver internal and external communications, reports, presentation, and documentation.
• Bring both a strategy and a mastered understanding of brand and messaging to cross-functional teams.
• Collaboration skills—working with designers and stakeholders of all disciplines.
• Be collaborative and contribute to healthy team motivation and morale, offering emotional and logistical support.

Basic Qualifications

• Fluency in Japanese
• Working Proficiency in English or Korean with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 5+ years experience as a visual problem solver (Graphic Designer, Web/Digital Designer, or Brand Designer)
• Design tool Expert

>Mastery with the Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.

>Fluency in Figma and the Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets)

• Expert design fundamental knowledge (color, form, type, layout) and the ability to communicate. critique, and provide feedback on the work of others.
• Experience working closely with stakeholders and partners
• Solution-focused and medium-agnostic, willing to step out of your core skill set or discipline to find the correct solution to a challenge

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with B2B products
• Knowledge of design trends across different cultures, an understanding of what design trends resonate with who and why.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
• Animation/Motion Graphics Experience
