Brand Marketing Manager

We are looking for an experienced Brand Marketing Manager to join the Brand and Performance Marketing team within our Marketing division. The Brand Marketing Manager will work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with diverse stakeholders across the business including but not limited to Creative and Agency teams, Business Unit Leaders, Communications, Content, Performance Marketing, and Product Marketing and Product Strategy to help us deliver high-quality brand experiences to our audiences at each stage of their journey with athenahealth from awareness to conversion to advocacy. This individual will have a deep understanding and experience in building strong, consistent, well-managed brands to drive brand health and brand love, with marketing acumen to partner cross-functionally to deploy programs that will drive impact. In this role, we are looking for a Brand Marketing Manager who will be proactive, relationship-oriented, influential, action-oriented, creative thinkers who can become an athenahealth champion both internally and externally and are laser focused on driving measurable impact.

The Team: The Brand and Performance Marketing team is making athenahealth the best known, most admired company in our category. We’re establishing brand leadership, by deploying a full-funnel go-to-market strategy and execution engine in support of our Vision and growth agenda.

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver athenahealth’s value story to the right person at the right time. You will partner with Performance Marketing, Content, Creative and our Agency of Record to develop campaigns and content that clearly articulate our brand positioning and the value athenahealth delivers to healthcare organizations, increasing brand awareness, favorability, and consideration.
  • Become an athenahealth brand expert. You will manage and govern the corporate brand guidelines and resources. You will champion and continuously educate and reinforce the importance of brand consistency across the organization.
  • Build deep relationships with cross-functional partners and embed the brand positioning across the organization into everything we do.
  • Support organizational brand requests to ensure athenistas (our employees) are equipped with the tools and resources to successfully live the brand.
  • Partner closely and as an extension of the Content and Creative teams to drive brand excellence through all creative and content
  • Manage and foster key agency relationships, ensuring projects are completed on time, on-budget and drive anticipated impact
  • Become the internal expert on athenahealth brand health and perception by conducting regular analysis on market trends and leading our quarterly brand health tracker reporting in partnership with our brand health tracking firm, socialization of key findings across the organization and partner with Director of Brand Marketing to outline action-oriented approach to applying key findings to Marketing strategy.

Typical Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or similar
  • 5+ years prior experience in B2B brand marketing or similar experience
  • Ability to thrive in an extremely fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Ability to balance and manage high-priority, high-visibility projects
  • A proactive self-starter
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong written, verbal, and PowerPoint design communication skills
  • Strong storytelling and PowerPoint design skills
  • Knowledge of the healthcare landscape preferred, but not required.
